Pajama Reorder Planning: From 50 to 150 Sets

Illustrative first-order and replenishment scenario

This example follows one children's pajama-set style in one custom color. The proposed buyer starts with 50 complete sets, reviews the product and sales information, then plans a repeat order of 150 sets.

What the numbers describe

MeasureExample quantity
First order50 complete sets
Repeat order150 complete sets
Difference100 additional sets
Repeat order compared with first order3 times the quantity
Increase from the first order200%
Combined quantity across both orders200 sets

Fifty sets is the chosen starting quantity in this example. Jinshi's standard-fabric bulk minimum remains 30 units per style per color, with mixed sizes. Each complete two-piece set counts as one unit.

Establish a usable first-order reference

The first sample and production order define the material, fit, construction, color or print, labels and packaging. The buyer approves the relevant samples and documents, and the resulting order records provide a reference for later comparison.

Standard fabric qualities can be made in the buyer's own colors or prints. The starting quantity therefore does not require the buyer to use only an existing stock color.

Review feedback by its cause

Before increasing quantity, the buyer and factory need to understand what the first order has shown. A shortage of a popular size calls for a different response from a fit or construction issue.

FeedbackQuestion to askPossible next action
One size sells fasterIs the size allocation aligned with demand?Adjust the next size mix
Repeated fit commentsDo actual garment measurements and customer size information agree?Review the size specification and any required pattern change
Wash-related concernsWhat care conditions and product areas are involved?Compare the records and investigate the material or construction
Packaging problemsDid the pack meet the product and receiving needs?Review the complete packed sample and carton plan
Interest in another colorIs the existing style still appropriate?Develop and approve the new color separately

This review keeps commercial demand, product changes and packaging questions distinct. It helps the next order address the issue rather than simply increasing every quantity.

Decide whether to repeat or revise

Repeat the approved version

If the garment continues unchanged, retain the approved specification and verify material availability, color batch, trim supply, labels, packing and current production timing.

Revise a defined part

If the buyer requests a longer sleeve, different waistband or new print, record that change and identify the sample or check needed. The repeat-order reference does not automatically approve the revised detail.

Extend the collection

A short-sleeve version, additional product or new material can build on the established direction. Each new style-color group has its own quantity and development requirements.

Plan the 150-set order

The next order uses the buyer's chosen size quantities, totaling 150 sets for this style and color. The team confirms the actual material and component position, the production slot and the destination's packing information.

Where fabric has been retained, its quantity, condition and suitability are checked. Where new material is sourced, the relevant batch and sample references are reviewed. Forecast demand and a placed production order are recorded separately.

Keep a reference for the following season

Useful records include the approved style version, size allocation, material and color references, checks, packed sample and feedback categories. These support decisions about another reorder, a new color or a related product.

The example's threefold order quantity is a scenario, not a promised sales outcome. The buyer's retail performance depends on its product, pricing, channel and market decisions as well as the supply arrangement.

Reorder questions

Can we change only the size ratio?

Yes. Confirm the new allocation and whether the garment specifications remain unchanged. The quantities must still meet the applicable style-color minimum.

Will the same color always look identical in a new batch?

The approved color reference is retained, and the new material or color batch is reviewed against it. Batch review belongs in the repeat-order preparation.

Is a repeat order always faster?

Approved files can reduce redevelopment work. The schedule still depends on material availability, the requested changes and current production arrangements. Timing is confirmed for the order.

Can we start below 50 sets?

For the standard-fabric route, the minimum is 30 units per style per color with mixed sizes. Fifty sets is simply this example's chosen quantity.
